Voilà qu’on avait prévu de parler de nonchalance pour cette session des Coming Soon. Un rapide coup d’oeil sur une définition du mot nous fait faire machine arrière. Lenteur, mollesse, manque d’enthousiasme, de vivacité. Rien de tout cela ne convient au Coming Soon et à leur musique. Loin de là. Quand on les croise à Dour pour leur première session Cargo ou dans un bar de Paris il y a quelques semaines on retrouve ce coté tranquille, amusée, parfois on pourrait confondre cela avec de la nonchalance, les trouver un peu détachés… Et pourtant, quand les voix se calent, quand les regards se croisent, quand les sourires se dessinent… on devine le plaisir, de jouer, d’être ensemble, de donner… tout cela ne trompe pas. Les Coming Soon aimeraient peut être donner cette impression de nonchalance… mais là les gars pour une fois, c’est raté…

Cargo Bar has turned 10 — can you believe it!? To mark this milestone the Cargo Bar crew did what they do best — they threw a huge party large enough to almost tilt Sydney’s Kings Street Wharf .
In streamed the invitees with one thing on their minds and that was to have a good time. Surprising amount of legal and corporate types here who all very quickly ignored their uniforms to mingle and dance alongside a huge list of Sydney’s celebs.
Alex Dimitriades, resembling an out of work Qantas pilot, hit the decks to pump out tunes as the party grew and grew around us.
Lizzy Lovette leant in to tell us that her and James Wicks have just become engaged and to show us the new sparkler on her left hand — big congrats to both of you.
Sydney’s bars come and go at a rapid rate and in today’s fickle society for a bar to not only last ten years but to still be a favourite watering hole is no mean feat. Happy birthday Cargo and thanks for a terrific party.
