Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer
installation instructions and specs for complete information.

Today we are going to show you part number 59106 what we have is a Rola GearSpace 34 twin tube slide out enclosed cargo carrier. This cargo carrier is for 2 inch receiver hitches. This cargo carrier is the largest one out there. It contains 34 cubic feet of storage capacity. This is a great all in one for storing and transporting all your gear including large items like bikes. It is aerodynamic, attractive, secure, and has a water tight design. Which means more cargo capacity than any other hitch based cargo carrier. Also the twin tube telescoping platform works with any 2 by 2 inch trailer hitch. Also provides an adjustable clearance up to 31 inches. From the hitch pin hole to the cargo box itself.
Covering a few features of the cargo carrier is it actually slides out due to the twin tube telescoping design so you can get easy access to the back of your SUV. The gray case is designed with a clam shell style opening lid. It includes the locks to secure gear inside the carrier. It also has a hard point channel cross bar to provide weight distribution and as well as a adjustable attachment point for a cargo carrier itself. This carrier does include 2 rattle reducing silent hitch pins. One for the hitch itself and one for the telescoping part. This also comes with LED lighting system which includes a 2 stop, turn, tail lights, license plate light and mounting bracket. This cargo carrier can support up to 2 bikes upright with the lid closed using the optional bike mounting kit. That part number is 59409 this unit does come with a 5 year warranty.
Then the adjustable slide out design can extend the carrier an additional 21 inches from the vehicle itself.
We will go ahead and demonstrate some of the features of this cargo carrier. First off, and most obvious is the clam shell design, we will show you how it opens up. It has a nice secure strap system, there is one on each side, To open it up, just grab it by the handle and pull. As you can see this has a volumous capacity of 34 cubic feet. It also has a handy drain plug so that if you need to hose it out you can open it up and let it drain out of the bottom. Since this cargo carrier is rather large, it will cover up the tail lights on most vehicles. That is why it comes with the tail lights already built into the back. Again, you have the running lights, left and right turn signal, brake, and a license plate bracket that is lighted. The wiring for the lights plugs into the vehicle via a four pole flat connector. We will go ahead and demonstrate the telescoping feature of this. You pull this pin, undo the anti-rattle pin back here, and pull it out. There is a safety cable underneath to prevent it from going too far back. With it being telescoped out you can then have easy access to the back of your SUV. Again, here is the safety cable that keeps it from coming all the way off. Also, the shank on this cargo carrier has 2 sets of holes for adustability and to meet the requirements of your bumper and tailgate combination. There you have it for part number 59106 a review of the Rola GearSpace 34.

0 Thule Atlantis 2100 XT Cargo Box Review etrailer.comhttp://www.etrailer.com/tv-Review-Thule-Roof-Mounted-Carrier-TH688XT.aspx

Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer
installation instructions and specs for complete information.

Today we are going to review the Thule Atlantis 2100XT, part number TH688XT. This roof top cargo box has the capacity of 21 cubic feet to hold all your gear. For example, skis or snowboards, or just a lot of luggage. As shown here, it comes in a black and silver color scheme, so it will match a lot of different vehicle models out there. We will show you the interior and how it attaches to the roof rack and locks down. :30

Now we will show you how this cargo box mounts on this factory roof rack. First off, we will show you the clamps. It has a two in one action because when you open it up, it loosens the clamp so you can slide it back and fourth to make adjustments and there is also a latch underneath there is a latch that opens up that can grab a variety of different cross bars. As you tighten it back down it grabs the crossbar as well as locks up against the cargo box itself so it will not go anywhere. There are no other pieces to take out like U-bolts or other style clamps. 1:05

Built on the side of the clamp there are little plastic loops that are meant to be used with this strap, that way you can tie down the cargo inside the box to keep it from moving around. The lid will lock down with two points of contact, one here and one here on the other side of the box. Right now we are looking at the rear part. If we go to the front half, there will be an identical latch there too. In the center there is the actual key latch. Right now we are looking at the driver side. On the passenger side we have the same arrangement so you can open up the lid on this on either direction. It also has a handy pull down strap to pull the lid down. Lets go ahead and get our roof rack ready on the vehicle. In this demonstration we are going to be using the factory roof rack. We are going to get the cross bars loosened up and then set the Atlantis cargo box on top of it and make our final adjustments with the cross bars. 2:00

With an extra set of hands we can go ahead and place the cargo box on the roof. We will position it forward so the rear hatch does not touch it when you open it up. Once you have that dimension established, go ahead and center it over the roof rack. Before we clamp it down into place, one thing to remember is one the cross bars themselves you want to keep them as wide as possible, that way the cargo box will stay as stable as possible down the road. When we are satisfied with this we will tighten down the cross bars. Again, this will very from vehicle to vehicle. We will install the clamps now. We will unscrew it, opening the clamp up on the bottom, which will allow us to move it front to rear. Then take the knob and tighten it back down, you can see how it clamps. Lets snug them down loosely for now, we want the remaining three points of contact to do the same thing. Once we have them all snugged down, we can go ahead and tighten them down. Once you have it set up the way you want it, we can go ahead and tighten it down by hand. Nice and snug will work. To close it, go ahead and pull on the strap. Make sure it goes all the way down, turn the key, and lock it. Then you can go to the other side and unlock it and rise the other half. Within a few steps, we have installed our cargo box on our van here and it is ready to go down the road. There you have it for part number TH688XT from Thule.

0 Storage Dock Bike Rack Cargo Carrier Assembly etrailer.comhttp://www.etrailer.com/tv-assembly_boone_dock_storage_stand_BH91411.aspx

Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer
installation instructions and specs for complete information.
This is a device that holds ball mounts, bicycle racks, and cargo carriers on your wall for easy storage. These are the parts we have here, it does need a little bit of assembly, so we’ll show you how it goes together. As you can see we already put the covers on the end of the tubes, they just pop on and you tap them into place no big deal. You do have to take note of what side these bars go on the main support bar, there are angles you have to match up to. It goes in like that and when you know what the general layout is then we can install the hardware. Now you get some common hand tools and tighten them down. In this case a 1/2 inch wrench and 1/2 inch socket. Once you have it assembled, you’ll notice that the angle is towards the wall. This will be the wall mount right here, it gets lag-bolted into place and this part just sits on the floor and bears the weight. You have to have this angle so it puts the weight straight down. You see we have this leaning against the wall here, it stands out away from the wall so it takes all the support weight. What happens next is you install the screws that will hold it against the studs of your wall. Depending on the situation with the wall you have, what’s really nice is that the studs on the inside holes will match 16 inch stud centers. The outside holes measure to 18 inches. The kit comes with four lag bolts to mount on the wall to your garage. Now we’ll show you how to install the dock block, the device that will actually hold your accessory. There’s two positions you can choose from here or the lower one. We’ll choose the middle one here, this part simply slides into place and the pin goes through it. It’s kind of hard to see, but if you can tell there are grooves in the pin that allow you to insert a C-clip. There’s one on each side which will keep the pin from moving side to side. They simply just go over the groove, be careful because they fly and gently push them over. That’s the assembly for BH91411, from Boone outdoor hardware, the Boone Dock.

0 Thule Insta Gater Truck Bed Bike Rack etrailer.comhttp://www.etrailer.com/tv-demo_thule_insta_gator_bike_rack_TH501.aspx

Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer
installation instructions and specs for complete information.
These easily installed single bike carrier allows for secure bikes wherever you go. With its rugged steel construction and powdered coating this bike rack is ready for any conditions you can put it through. It’s easy front wheel clamping makes travel a breeze, and this will virtually work on any bicycle. First off we’ll open our truck bed here, set inside our Insta-Gater, and there’s a couple things to do first and we’ll show you. First we need to lengthen the straps and we’ll do that by pressing down on the center button and pulling them out. Now these straps here fit in between the tailgate and the bed of the truck. What happens is we close the tailgate and it traps them inside. That way the rack won’t go anywhere. Now that we have the straps inside we need to tighten everything down, and this nice handy little ratchet will do that for us.

To install our bike we take the front wheel and we set it inside the rack and make sure it’s hitting inside the tail gate. Then we take our locking arm here, give it a squeeze and let it come back. Now we make sure it goes over the tire, and once it makes contact we want to make sure it goes two clicks past it. Once you have it in there, give it a little shake and make sure it’s stable and it might need one more click or two. Maybe with the front suspension bikes it might take more tension to keep it from wobbling. As you can see I’m shaking the bike and truck so this isn’t going anywhere. To release this bike all you have to do is push this trigger here, maybe push on it a little more to relieve the tension and then we take our bike right off. As you can see here, there’s a space to add a lock to it. This is part of Thule’s one key system. So say for example you have another Thule system that utilizes the one key system, you can buy a matching cylinder to install on this bike rack and lock everything into place. The Thule Insta-Gator bike rack as you can see will fit virtually any kind of bike frame. It quickly installs in the bed of your truck and with a little practice you could probably have this installed in 15 seconds. With its durable steel construction and painted finish will last for a very long time. As you can see we have it installed in the middle here and obviously you can put two of them in there and possibly four depending on the width of your truck. Also on the tire sizes with this bike you can fit mainly from 20 inches to 29 inches and tire width of about 3 inches. There you have it for part # TH501 from Thule, the Insta-Gater truck bed bike carrier.

0 Folding Trailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Adapter etrailer.comhttp://www.etrailer.com/tv-demo_curco_folding_basket_adapter_52015.aspx

Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer
installation instructions and specs for complete information.
This is a folding basket adapter for two inch trailer hitch mounted cargo carriers. Specifically this will fit cargo carrier model 52018. As you can see we have the parts out here, we’ll install them on a cargo carrier and show you how it goes but first we’ll show you the main points of it. Basically you see this bushing right here, what’s going to happen is it’s going to fit inside the tube of the cargo carrier itself. What happens is when it sits inside here, it eliminates all the slop. This pin here is just for when you have it up or fold it down, it’s just this pin that keeps it in place. It has two positions: one for up and the other for down. We have a cargo carrier here we’ll go ahead and install the adapter bar here, again you want to put your bushing in first. and that stays there as you slide your adapter bar over. Then you install the bolt and the washer on either side.

0 SportRack Explorer Cargo Box Review etrailer.comhttp://www.etrailer.com/tv-Review-SportRack-Cargo-Carrier-A90095.aspx

Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer
installation instructions and specs for complete information.

Today we are going to review part number A90095 from SportRack. This is their roof cargo carrier. First off, you can get in the cargo box from the passenger side of the vehicle. It has two locks to secure that side of the lid, and it also has spring loaded hinges to help you pop up the lid, sometimes it is going to be a little high above your head and you will need a little help pushing it up. It has foam weather stripping around the edge perimeter of the lid itself and the bottom so it keeps everything nice and dry on the inside. :28

It uses 4 u-bolts and plates combination to secure this cargo box to your roof rack, rather its the Thule rack, round bar rack, or factory roof rack as we are going to use in this review. It is also constructed of high-density polyethylene construction, is UV resistant, durable, and is made in the USA. :45

We will now show you how the u-bolts mount on the inside. The u-bolt will go around your factory roof rack bar, or your aftermarket roof rack bars. It will go through two holes in the bottom of the cargo carrier, and then there is a plate that goes on top and the handle nuts that simply thread on. You need four of these to do the job. Also you will note that on the four points attachment here they are fixed. So it is a good idea to have your roof rack bars adjusted accordingly. If you have a factory roof rack, make sure the cross bars can be adjusted front to rear. 1:20

Lets go ahead and install this on our vehicle and give you a better idea of how it looks and how it works. It is lightweight, however it is a good idea to have an extra set of hands to help you put it up there. You can see how the factory roof rails fit inside this groove right here on the cargo carrier itself. We did have to adjust our Cargo Bars. To get that measurement, basically all we did was that we measured from the center of the two bolt holes for u-bolts on each side. So the center of this, to the center here and we came out at about 21-1/2 inches. To make it easier to put the cargo box on the roof we have everything locked down, we can go ahead and undo the latches, one in the front and one in the rear. And we will unlock the two latches here too. Pop up the lid. The u-bolt will go over the factory roof rack bar, it will go through two holes in the bottom of the cargo carrier, there is a plate that goes on top, then the handle nuts thread right on. We will repeat the same process for the remaining three mounting points. We have our box aligned on the rails and centered on the vehicle, we will go ahead and latch it down. Take our two key locks, lock those down first and make sure it does not move. Then move to the clamps up front and on the rear. We are set to go. There you have it for part number A90095 from SportRack.

0 Thule Caravan Cargo Bag Carrier Review etrailer.comhttp://www.etrailer.com/tv-demo-thule-roof-caravan-cargo-bag-TH857.aspx

Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer
installation instructions and specs for complete information.
Today we are going to show you part number TH857 from Thule. This is their Caravan Cargo Bag Carrier. This carrier bag has a storage capacity of 13 cubic feet, and this will mount to virtually any rooftop cargo rack, either aftermarket or factory installed. We will cover some of the features of this bag.

It will mount to any cargo rack with these tie-down straps right here – you have one, two, and two on the other side. That will hold it down to the cargo rack. And this is actually designed to fit in between the Cargo Bars sitting on top of the roof itself. The front of the bag also features two straps that go over the entire bag itself, stitched to the top and also stitched down to the bottom, which also converts into a nice, easy-to-use carrying handle, so you can carry the bag fully loaded to take it on and off the vehicle. And these are the buckles that you disconnect so you can get to the lid of the bag. And it is zippered right here and is covered up so that makes a weatherproof seal. All right, as you can see it also comes with its own storage bag itself. Roll it up and fold it up and it fits nice in its own little storage case and keep it out of the way until you are ready to use it again.

As you can see here we have got a Thule Caravan installed on top of a roof rack here. Now, typically with your light stuff, you can go ahead and load the bag up first and then put it up on the roof. However, if you have got some heavy material, it probably would be a better idea to put the roof bag on first and then load up your materials. Once you have that done, again, like we showed you before about the buckles that strap it down in place. So they just go around the factory bar here or any other aftermarket bar. And they simply buckle into place. We will simply tuck that back underneath there. And, if possible, bring it through to the back side of it and take up a little of the extra slack. And then you go ahead and do the same thing for the front of the vehicle. Just tuck that underneath the bag and going toward the front of the vehicle. And with that your bag is strapped in. It will not go anywhere. And the main thing also you want to make sure of is that – this is the front of the bag, the part that does not have the zipper – you want that facing the wind. And this is the zipper right here, and this is the covering for the zipper. To make sure it is weatherproof, go ahead and make sure that these Velcro straps are installed in place so it will not go anywhere. And there you have it for part number TH857, the Caravan Cargo Bag Carrier.
