She dressed quickly and drove herself to the bar; she had things to do on this night.
His green eyes; no hot blooded woman in the bar could avert her gaze from his profoundly green eyes and what had once been thick sandy brown hair was now frosted with specks of gray near his temples, bringing even more attention to his still youthful and masculine features. He was the man every woman in the bar was fawning over between pulls on her cigarette.
She was provoked; probably by the jackass sitting next to the chair where she had previously perched, because before he could prepare himself, she made a straight line for the bar – toward him. His breath became shallow and he could feel that frenzy building within, the same sort of frenzy he had experienced as a young boy walking the train tracks as large cargo trains barreled by violently. Catastrophic – her grey eyes were that and so much more. When she reached the bar his eyes fixed on the nape of her neck. With her hair placed in a ponytail and numerous tresses escaping it, she seemed all the more vulnerable. And yet, there was something about her set chin and independent demeanor that made him certain that she could convince him otherwise if need be. Her lips parted and she whispered to the bartender,
“Bourbon.”
The bartender glanced up from polishing a glass with a look of skepticism, but rather than asking any questions, fixed her bourbon on ice. She gripped the glass firmly and sipped a bit of the deep brown liquor, immediately coughing in surprise at the strength. He stifled a laugh as she dabbed her watery eyes. A smile spread across his lips as he watched her quickly escape to the dance floor and blend with the crowd.
Drifting aimlessly about the dance floor, his attention never left her bodice – his eyes fixed on the curve of her back as she danced alone among the oblivious couples. The whiskey resting by his left hand had been there all night without a single sip stolen, the perspiration from the glass soaking into its coaster. The typical crowd overtook the bar, getting their fill on watered-down beer and casual groping. Smoke swirled and climbed the walls in wisps of movement. It was getting late, a wave of impatience swept over him. He lowered his gaze in thought, watching the bright dance lights dance from one peanut shell to the next on the aged hardwood floor, building up the conviction he would need to approach her.
“Could you fix me a fuzzy navel?”
His breath held. He kept his head down. How did she make it back to the bar so soundlessly? An excitement took over his features. It was the first time he had heard her raspy voice, but it fit perfectly and her proximity to him sent chills of excitement coursing through his body. He lifted his gaze and found himself meeting hers. She had defined cheek bones that made her look strong and independent, and yet, it was the slight quiver in her lush lips that held his attention. He almost wondered how long she had been watching him, but before he could even think to ask, she flashed a coy smile that left him bewildered.
The apples of her cheeks reddened slightly and she lowered her own head before quickly returning her gaze back to his. She steadied her thoughts and slowly removed her hair tie – allowing her soft curls to fall naturally around her shoulders as she held his gaze.
His features were teeming with excitement and a childish wonder she couldn’t ignore. She found herself trembling and clenched her hands into tight fists…It frightened her. He frightened her. A smile found her mouth and wouldn’t let go, not that she minded. She moved closer and looked deeply into his eyes and allowed him to wrap his arms around her.
He wanted to tuck her hair behind her ear and move closer to her, but feared the possibility of frightening her. Instead, he ran his fingers down her slender arm before taking hold of her hand in his own. She smiled again and it was abundantly clear to him – Cupid’s arrow had struck him. She pulled him closer and beckoned him to come with her to the dance floor; struck by her tenacity, he didn’t hesitate in doing so. Once again she allowed him to wrap his arms around her as they began to twirl about the floor in a sea of people and overwhelming lights. He placed his hand on her right cheek – a twinge of shame shot through her and she immediately pulled away. She stood firm, scrutinizing his expression of admiration and affection.
It had been so long since she had received such a display of fondness. The gruesome car accident left her feeling stripped of her natural beauty, destined to permanently lurk in the shadows. The grotesque scarring from the endless surgeries left her face and chest mutilated. He reached out for her once more and decidedly gathered her into his arms. She tucked her chin on his chest and inhaled deeply – he had convinced her of his love. Beyond the window of the bar, a tree dancing in the breeze caught her eye.

Correct the atmosphere. For a short story, you describe the woman too little and the guy way too much. If you want to get their descriptions off quickly, just use a stereotype to describe them. Change him to the gray fox at the bar with piercing green eyes she wanted to swim in, along with everyone else. What kind of bar is this? Nightclub, smokey atmosphere, small, large, clean, dirty? Don’t refer to his childhood or explain too much why they are doing this or that. All of this should be accomplished in the first paragraph. Then get to the action. The end makes no sense. You go from lusty advances to love to regarding her as a scarred burn victim. It feels like a forced anti-logic rather than a paradox or something clever.

Is it legal to strap things in the rear veiw window on the trunk?

i have a car and im looking to tie down a BIG BAG it to the roof. Maybe on the trunk so i can strap it down better with a strap running from one wheel fender to the other. We are moving from Ohio to Colorado. I know in Colorado its ok to block the rear view mirror but can not stick out the side over 6 inches and can not stick out the back so far or you will need a flag. Any idea if its ok to block the rear view window?
Its a Extra large cargo bag.

If you have outside mirrors on both side you can block the rear view mirror. Think about it. A U Haul trailer blocks the view too.

Ship pickup truck and motorcycle across country?

Tie Down ATV Using Ratchet Straps

TRANSCRIPT:

In this segment we’re going to show you how to use a 1 inch ratchet strap to tie down an ATV.

First we are going to take the long end of the strap and feed it up and through the frame of the ATV. Putting it through the frame gives us the most stable spot to tie down. Be careful that you do not go around the axles, A arms, or anything that is prone to damage. Hook the fixed end of the strap to the other anchor point.

Next, pull the slack out of the strap. This is important so that you don’t have too much webbing around the mandrel of
the ratchet which will cause it to bind before it is completely tightened. We’ll hold the strap tight and begin to ratchet. You can see how after just a few ratchets that the ATV is cinching down to the trailer.

The last step is to close the ratchet and secure any extra webbing so that it isn’t flapping around during travel.

RELEASING THE RATCHET

Your ratchet has a spring release. Pull the release with your fingers and open the ratchet completely, keeping the lever pulled. You can see it easily releases the tension to unhook it.

NOTE: You MUST also attach a second strap to the rear frame of the ATV to prevent “swapping” of the rear end to safely secure it for transport. Your total working load limit of the straps must exceed the weight of the object you are tying down.

Lately google did something to their rank algorithm, in the name of providing more relevant search results for it’s users, on official google blog it is estimated 11.8% search results will be affected by this update, in another word, there are about 12% of google search results are considered low quality by google itself. Google started this change almost one year ago, no wonder I saw a few of my keywords’ ranks dropped like a rock, on the other hand almost all keywords promoted by contextual links are not affected, some of the keywords even ranked better than before, it’s almost a sure thing that plain link building loses all it’s attraction, at least in the eye of google.

What is old way of link building any way? a large percentage of SEO firms will do this, they will get links from any websites which accept adding links, the only updates on those websites are the new links, and most of them are useless, the name link spamming are just for these sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, all the links on those websites will have the same fate.

Examples will be great for explanation. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I started with this keyword, Lift Sling, of course with old way of link building, almost all the sites I got link from had too many links, and the worst thing is that those sites are linking sites only and had no content, not even crap content. In the beginning, the ranking of the keyword in question rise pretty fast, lately the keyword link stayed on the first page for a while, the honeymoon lasted until google changed it’s mind. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain pullers, we put the link in relevant context, with very few plain links, now we have really good ranking for this keyword. As far as SEO concerned, article marketing with great content is the way to go. Say you’re building your own bogging network, something like E Track, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.

At the end of day all you need to do is to create quality content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, promote your business with the content, this strategy will prevail in short or long term. Persistence and patience are the keys to success, you shouldn’t expect things to improve overnight, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, now all we have to do is to share our love for creating and sharing nice content and not to worry about the ranking every day.
